Bug reports and merge requests use labels to indicate additional information like their current state, which area they affect or whether they’re feasabile for newcomers. There’s a common set of labels shared between project (see here) and each project might have additional labels. Here’s a list of important labels:

| helpwanted | While we appreciate help on any issue, those with a helpwanted tag are unlikely to be picked up by a Phosh developer soon so it’s a good pick if you want to contribute. |
| needs:design | The issue needs some design input to figure out a good UI/UX |
| needs:triage | Issue should be rechecked against a current version |
| sound | Issues related to the sound theme, sound input and output |
